Eight shows premiered during that probationary period without a single incident. Then an inquiry into Professional Boxing forced the Ontario Athletic Commission to enforce the Sports Regulating Act to the letter. Many Kick-Boxers in Europe and the United States are not controlled by Government Agencies, and therefore they cannot be issued a Government Kick-Boxing license. No other professional sport in Canada has ever received such undeserved restriction. Canadian fighters were forced to fight outside Ontario. Not ones to quit, Twin Dragon fought on.

Now, six years later, the Ontario Athletic Commission has given the green light and sanctioned the sport of Professional Kick-Boxing in Ontario.  Amateur kick-boxing is illegal in Ontario making it it very difficult to get experience for the fighters who wish to eventually go professional.  They must go out of the province or country do get any fights.  All full contact competition that is not sanctioned by the Ontario Athletic Commission is strictly prohibited by our government.  Promoters must put up a lot of money to put on an event and all fighters must be licensed and undergo numerous medical tests including a catscan, EEG, ECG and full blood work.  The government is very strict and all the regulations make it extremely difficult to promote these events in Ontario however, safety of the fighters is their number one priority!

Twin Dragon have successfully promoted over 25 live professional kick-boxing events without a single incident.  Many of their events have been seen on TSN, Pay-per-view, Wide World of Sports and Rogers cable.  They are the true pioneers of the sport in Canada and continue to help it grow and produce many World, North American and Canadian Champions!
